. Republican prisoners: the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners held as a result of the British Irish conflict.
. Neutrality: opposition to the participation by Ireland in NATO, the Western European Union or the Partnership for Peace.
. Drugs: immediate treatment for addicts, community drug teams, eviction of drug dealers by local authorities, an end to Garda harassment of anti drug activists.
. Crime: upgrading the court system, prisons to focus on rehabilitation and training, post release monitoring and support and noncustodial sentences where appropriate.
. Economics: a minimum wage, increased social welfare payments, improved access to employment, tax reform.
. Water charges: an amnesty for nonpayers and tax exemptions for those who have paid.
. Agriculture: low interest loans to be made available to small farmers, aggressive marketing to overcome the BSE scare.
. Fisheries: end overfishing or illegal fishing by other EU countries, police flagships posing as Irish and fishing our quota.
. Environment: oppose a national incinerator, the closure of Sellafield, support recycling and measure to minimise waste production.
. Women/Youth: measure to include women in political life, oppose any reduction in welfare entitlements for young people.
. Education/Irish language: full funding of all primary and secondary schools, an all Irish university, a bill of rights for Gaeilgeoiri, all TV and radio stations to transmit not less than 12.5 per cent of programmes in Irish.
