France captain Olivier Magne will face a disciplinary panel after being cited for stamping during his team's ill-tempered 33-12 victory over Italy on Saturday.
"He has been cited for an incident in the France v Italy game on Saturday and he has to appear before a disciplinary committee tomorrow in London," said Jon Davis, the Six Nations operations manager.
Davis said that the Magne citation was related to an alleged stamping incident in the first half of the match.
The referee dished out five yellow cards - four to Italy and one to France - but flanker Magne escaped unpunished.
If convicted by the three-man disciplinary panel Magne, who was punched by Carlo Cecchinato in the 35th minute to earn the Italian lock a trip to the sin bin, could face a suspension of between three and 26 weeks depending on the severity of the offence.
