Ankara - Turkish police said yesterday that an explosion which killed two brothers in Ankara was more likely to have been an accident than a botched suicide bombing as they had first suspected.
One of the brothers was killed immediately when the explosion occurred in empty ground near a cemetery on Wednesday. The other died in hospital from his injuries.
"That (suicide bomb attempt) possibility has weakened since the evidence has been gathered," said a police officer.
He said the boys, aged 14 and 18, who used to sell water to mourners at the graveyard may have been playing with a hand grenade.
