Lingo regained the winning thread in the ladbrokes.com Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown Park today.
After a successful debut over jumps at Naas in November, Lingo was beaten by Perle De Puce at Ascot.
But Jonjo O'Neill's charge took his revenge on his conqueror to land the Grade One contest at 5-4 favourite.
Perle De Puce took them along, with Lingo held up at the back of the five-runner field by Liam Cooper.
The leader was still in front at the second-last, but Lingo had made good headway on the bridle and a good jump carried him ahead.
Perle De Puce and Garde Champetre were still well in touch as Lingo led at the final flight.
But Perle De Puce took a crashing tumble, leaving Lingo to hold off Garde Champetre by a length and a half, with Bourbon Manhattan 14 lengths back in third after being hampered by the faller.
