Leeds United have placed midfielder Lee Bowyer on the transfer list after the 25-year-old rejected the offer of a new five-year contract.
In a statement on the club's website today, Leeds United chairman Peter Ridsdale said Bowyer's accountant had told him the player had "made a career decision to move on".
Bowyer has a year left on his Leeds contract and had been in talks with the club about a new deal for some months.
The former England under-21 international was cleared in December last year of assault charges relating to an attack on a student in Leeds. - Reuters
