Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie has finally ended speculation about his future by signing a new five-year contract.
Hendrie, who has 20 months to run on his current deal, has committed himself to Villa until the summer of 2006.
He finally came to agreement with the club today over a new deal and formally completed proceedings at Villa Park this lunchtime.
Villa manager John Gregory confirmed: "He has just rung me from Villa Park to say that he has signed his new contract and that it is all done and dusted.
"I am absolutely delighted because it means that Lee can now concentrate 100 per cent on the football side of things.
Hendrie said: "I'm glad it's all done and dusted. I have said all along that Villa is the club I love and the one I want to play for."
