Scotland's Paul Lawrie holds a five shot lead going into this afternoon’s final round of the Wales Open.
Lawrie dropped three strokes over the closing six holes of his third round this morning. He carded a two under par 70 to leave him on 14 under.
Lawrie, joint runner-up in the event last year, tightened his hold on the tournament with an eagle and three birdies before bad weather set in again.
South African Martin Maritz and Australia's Lucas Parson came through the field to card 67s and move to 207.
They were joined in joint second by Lawrie's playing partners, Australian Richard Green and England's John Bickerton, who both fired 73s.
Ireland’s Paul McGinley - the reigning champion - is six shots off Lawrie’s lead after shooting a three under 69 in his third round.
