Denmark's Thomas Bjorn, runner-up in the Open last week after tossing away a three-stroke lead with four holes to play, shares the lead with New Zealander Michael Campbell and England's David Lynn going into the final round of the Nissan Irish Open at Portmarnock.
A 25-foot birdie putt on the last brought Bjorn level with the other two on the 10 under par mark of 206.
Peter Lawrie is challenging the leaders after bright start to his third round, was marred by three late bogies as the Dubliner slumped from 10 under back down to seven under par.
Lawrie picked up where he left off after yesterday's 68 and promptly birdied the first to move to seven under par. Birdies at six, 10 and 13 followed before the young Dubliner bogeyed the 14th after a poor bunker shot to drop back to nine under, one behind then leaders Robert Karlsson and Peter Lonard.
That bogey appeared to shake the former Portmarnock member and he went on to drop shots on the 16th and 18th to card a 71.
Earlier Darren Clarke rescued what could have been a disastrous third round with four birdies in the closing holes to finish where he started.
The Ulsterman looked as if he had no hope of climbing back into the reckoning for the title after a shocking run around the turn.
Having produced a 68 to survive the cut with one shot to spare yesterday - Padraig Harrington was among those who failed to make it - Clarke birdied the second but then had three successive bogeys from the seventh to turn in 38 and double-bogeyed the 160-yard 12th to crash to three over.
However birdies on 13, 16, 17 and 18 quickly reversed Clarke's fortunes and kept him just about in touch with the challenging field. Though victory looks very unlikely a respectable finish may yet be within Clarke's grasp.
Of the remaining Irish Gary Murphy is best placed after he shot a 70 despite two early bogies to finish on four under par.
Paul McGinley was the major casualty of the day after consecutive double-bogies on the 15th and 16th meant the Dubliner dropped from four under to level par with a round of 76. McGinley is joined on four over by Damien McGrane courtesy of his round of 76.
Damian Mooney meanwhile shot a disappointing 75 to finish on three over par for the tournament.
