Law Society elects president

A Wexford solicitor and former Irish rugby international, Mr Anthony H

A Wexford solicitor and former Irish rugby international, Mr Anthony H. Ensor, has been elected president of the Law Society of Ireland.

Mr Ensor, who was capped 22 times and played in the Five Nations championship-winning side in 1974, will serve as president of the body which represents and regulates the solicitors until November 2000.

Educated at Gonzaga College, Dublin, and UCD, he is a partner in the Enniscorthy firm, Ensor O'Connor, and acts as a law agent for Wexford County Council and Enniscorthy UDC. He is also a member of the Irish Rugby Football Union's drugs appeal tribunal.
