A baby from Co Laois returned home last night after undergoing a life-saving operation in England.
Amy-Rose O'Sullivan, who is 10 months old, received a quarter of her aunt's liver in what may be the first case of Irish participation in a living-donor transplant involving people with two different blood types.
The baby was diagnosed with liver cancer when she was four months old.
She returned home with her aunt, Ann-Marie O'Sullivan, and her parents, Patrick O'Sullivan and Mary Moylan.
