West Ham midfielder Frank Lampard will leave the club following yesterday’s departure of manager Harry Redknapp, according to the England cap's agent.

"Frank does not see how he can ever play for West Ham again," agent Steve Kutner said. "He has just seen his uncle [Harry Redknapp] and father [assistant manager] leave a club where they have spent a huge part of their lives and he is gutted."

"The circumstances have left a very bad taste in the mouth and Frank doesn't want to know any more. As far as he is concerned the sooner he is out of West Ham the better."

The London club said yesterday Redknapp and Lampard senior had left "by mutual consent".

Lampard junior joined the club as a schoolboy and is part of an extremely promising midfield trio - along with Joe Cole and Michael Carrick - who have all been included in Sven Goran Eriksson's recent England squads.

The 22-year-old signed a five-year contract last year but was said to be upset at the club's decision last November to sell defender Rio Ferdinand for £18 million sterling to Leeds.

He has made 180 appearances for West Ham, scoring 39 goals, and has won two international caps.
