Gaming company Ladbrokes said today it had made a positive start to the year and was trading in line with expectations.
"Profit increased during the period by 5 per cent, and total gross win rose by 11 per cent, benefiting from good horseracing results at Cheltenham and Aintree, continuing growth in eGaming and an improvement in telephone betting," Ladbrokes said in a statement on trading from January to April.
Ladbrokes was known as Hilton Group until earlier this year when it completed the sale of its hotel division.
