Set in a time easily forgotten and a place the publishers made up, the Kingdom O' Magic is a place riddled with the ridiculous, plagued by the perverse, yet strangely homely, familiar and pleasantly odour free." When a "game introduces itself like this, you know you are dealing something totally different and Kingdom O' Magic is certainly that.
Although it is fundamentally a point-and-click adventure, its non-stop dry humour and bizarre characters take it to a different plane. You can play either of two characters - Thidney or ShahRon and have a choice of three guests. You have the Good Old Fashioned Traditional Sort, the Magnificent 7-11 Quest or alternatively the Bizarre and Slightly Twisted Version.
The player soon realises that, unlike some games you have the freedom to roam around a vast area: a slick interface and excellent graphics, means that within minutes you will be in the thick of the action. Although exploring this territory is pleasing initially, after a while you feel you're heading nowhere very fast. Kingdom O' Magic is a highly entertaining game but it often tries too hard and the aforementioned humour can take its toll after a while. But if you are fed up with point-and-click adventures this could be the game you are looking for.
