Michael Kinane clinched his 12th Irish jockeys' championship at Leopardstown this afternoon when dominating the final meeting of the Flat season with three winners and three seconds.
Starting the day on 76 winners and on level terms with arch-rival Johnny Murtagh, Kinane lost no time in regaining a decisive advantage as Salt Lake City and Bermaho took the opening events for juveniles.
While the 4-6 shot Salt Lake City readily opened his account by three lengths from Murtagh's mount Ask My Lady in the Bracken Maiden, Bermaho (12-1) had to get a strong drive from Kinane to come out best by half-a-length from Woodstamp.
Later in the afternoon Yesterday clinched the issue in Kinane's favour with just two races remaining as the well-bred filly took the Listed Eyrefield Stakes by four lengths.
