A MAN who has spent almost 15 years in jail for the murder of a Belfast woman has failed in a High Court application for his release.
Ms Deborah Robinson (19), of Upper Malone Road, Belfast, was murdered while on a day trip to Dublin on September 6th, 1980.
Her killer, Richard O'Hara (42), whose address was given as Arbour Hill Prison, Dublin, was refused leave to challenge a decision of the sentence review group refusing to recommend temporary release or other modification of his life sentence.
Mr Justice Smyth held that temporary release was a privilege or concession and in consequence people seeking it had no rights under the general principle of natural justice.
