SANAA - Two Germans kidnapped two weeks ago by tribesmen in northern Yemen were freed yesterday. The hostages, a German woman in her 60s and her son, were released following mediation by a senior tribal leader, Sheikh Naji al-Shaef, said a Yemeni official, adding that they were on their way to Sanaa.
The two Germans were among eight people kidnapped on January 26th. A Yemeni man and his German wife, three children and brother-in-law were released earlier.
