Acting captain Jeff Kenna believes Birmingham are capable of reaching the "comfort zone" in the Barclaycard Premiership by Christmas.
Kenna feels that a 25-point tally is within the compass of Steve Bruce's side by the start of the festive season.
City reached the 20-point mark with Saturday's 1-1 draw with Tottenham and now face Southampton, Fulham and Charlton before the hectic Christmas-New Year programme gets under way.
Kenna, who is captain in the absence of the injured Steve Vickers, said: "If you get 25 points by the halfway stage of the season, then you will roll on into the new year full of confidence.
"We're undefeated in three games and results breed confidence - and the lads are confident now. If we can reach 25 points by Christmas it allows you to have a few defeats and still be in that comfort zone - although, of course, we don't want any defeats.
"And, if we can pick up a few points in the run-up to Christmas, then who's to say that we can't upset a few of the big boys over the festive period?" he said.
Blues face Everton on St Stephen's Day and then have successive away trips to Manchester United and Leeds before facing Arsenal at home.
- City boss Steve Bruce is refusing to comment on reports linking him with West Ham's Paolo di Canio.
