Jurys Doyle Hotel Group was yesterday fined £2,750 and ordered to pay £650 after a health officer found a number of breaches of the food hygiene regulations at one of its Dublin hotels.
The company admitted 17 breaches at the Skylon Hotel during a routine visit by an officer, Ms Niamh McGrath, in November last year.
Dublin District Court heard they related to the lack of a proper cleaning procedure, condition of the kitchen area and some food being stored at temperatures which were too high.
