THE JURY in the Belfast murder trial of three Lurgan man accused of throwing a 15 year old schoolboy, Gavin Malcolm, from a block of flats are to visit the scene today. Crown Court judge, Mr Justice McCollum, said a visit to the Spelga Park flats in Lurgan's Mourneview Estate might prove "very useful and helpful".

Mr Jason Chittick (22), of Pine Park, Mr Keith Brown (23), of Ashleigh Crescent, and Mr William Turkington (18), of Monroe Avenue, all deny murdering the schoolboy on April 8th, 1994.

Prosecuting lawyer Mr Terence Mooney QC has claimed the trio kicked and punched the schoolboy unconscious before throwing him to his death.

A Lurgan man, Thomas Glen Haggan (18), has already been given indefinite detention after he admitted his part in the killing. He is the chief crown witness.
