The jury in the case of a Dublin man on trial for murder has been shown the carving knife that was used in the fatal stabbing.

The court heard that Warren Graham and his friend pretended they had 50 kilos of hash in the boot of their car for men they had a meeting with.

They then pulled their weapons on the men in an effort to get the cash for the drugs.

The court also heard that Mr Graham (22) admitted to gardaí at Crumlin Garda station that he had knifed Paul Keegan (42) during a drugs “rip” because he was acting in defence of his friend, who was being beaten by Mr Keegan

Mr Graham, Shancastle Lawn, Clondalkin, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Keegan in a lane behind Cherryfield Road, Walkinstown, on December 10th, 2007.
