The Northern editor of the Sunday Tribune, Mr Ed Moloney, who is fighting a court order to assist in an RUC murder investigation, will know soon if he might be imprisoned.

In the High Court in Belfast yesterday, judgment was reserved in an application for judicial review brought by Mr Moloney. He is challenging an order by Judge Anthony Hart, Recorder of Belfast, to hand over his notes of an interview with Mr William Stobie, who is charged with murdering the solicitor, Mr Pat Finucane, in 1989.

Lord Chief Justice Sir Robert Carswell, who heard the two-day case along with Mr Justice Kerr, said they would give judgment as soon as possible.
