A 23-year-old branded as a drug dealer walked free from a court yesterday with a judge's warning. Judge Michael White lifted a one-year jail sentence on Wayne Mitchell, of Thomond Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin. He told him there would be no leniency for him should he get into trouble again. Judge White, in the Circuit Appeals Court, told forklift driver Mitchell he had been branded as a drug dealer and would carry that with him for the rest of his life. He suspended his 12-month sentence and fined him £1,000 as well as binding him to keep the peace for two years.
Mitchell had appealed against severity of sentence on charges of possession and supply of drugs.
