A ROMANIAN who turned to crime has been advised by a judge to seek help from State agencies. Sidor Bucoa (33), of the North Circular Road, Dublin, appeared with a translator In Dublin District Court, where he admitted handling stolen goods on February 28th.
Garda John Lawless said the man had been found with stolen goods worth £44. Mr Hugh Sheridan, defending, said Bucoa was seeking asylum but had no work permit and was on social welfare.
His wife and children were still in Romania and the stress and separation had got to him. Judge Thelma King remanded Bucoa on bail to April 17th, asking him to seek advice from the Probation Service on where to go for extra assistance.
