NEW YORK - The actress Joan Collins took the witness yesterday in a court battle against publishing giant Random House and wiped away tears after some tough questioning. Random House is seeking the return of a $1.2 advance it paid for manuscripts it claims were unfinished and unpublishable.
Collins, best known for playing the scheming Alexis in Dynasty, claims she completed two manuscripts and is counter suing for $3.6 million she says Random House still owes her.
