A Lurgan man who tried to set fire to an Orange hall in what was said in court to have been a misguided act of revenge for the burning of two Catholic churches was jailed for two years yesterday at Belfast Crown Court.
The churches at Antrim and Randalstown were set alight on April 5th last year, and 24 hours later a police patrol checking buildings in Co Antrim foiled an attempt by Patrick McKenna to burn down the Diamond Orange Hall near Crumlin.
