A Dublin man has been jailed for three years for indecent assault of an eight-year-old girl who lived next door to him. The 59-year old single man was convicted by a jury after a trial last month at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of the indecent assault of the girl on dates unknown between January 1st, 1986, and December 31st, 1989.
Judge Frank O'Donnell said the victim had to relive in court the three years of assaults. He suspended the final year of the sentence.
