Personal-care products group IWP today reported a 3 per cent increase in sales revenue for the six months to the end of September.
The company said sales increased to €90.7 million from €87.8 million the same time last year. Operating profit for the period fell by €0.2 million to €2.1 million.
IWP said there had been lower export sales at its UK Constance Carroll operations but that its Polbita division had showed an improvement.
Chief executive Mr Jim Murphy said: "Our businesses are operating in increasingly competitive markets. We believe we are taking the appropriate actions to respond to these conditions, which will enable us to deliver an encouraging result for the full year."
