Mobile technology and information group iTouch has reported a rise in revenues of 260 per cent on 2000 despite a slight increase in pre-tax losses for 2001.
Its annual figures for 2001 show revenues rising by 260 per cent to £15 million sterling, with revenue from continuing operations increasing 195 per cent to £11.9 million.
The group, which listed on the London Stock Exchange in August 2000, ended the year with cash of £36.1 million.
"iTouch's first full financial year as a listed company has been an excellent one, achieving revenues of £15 million compared to £4.2 million in the previous period, Mr Ivan Fallon, chairman of iTouch, said.
"We have now had six consecutive quarters of good growth, with revenues of £5.0 million in the fourth quarter, our best yet".
iTouch Ireland, is 49 per cent-owned by Independent Newspapers and operates Weatherdial and Horoscope services.
iTouch was trading at 16.50 per share up 2.25 at 12.30 p.m. on the London Stock Exchange.
