Israeli helicopter gunships fired three missiles into the Rafah refugee camp in the Gaza Strip today following clashes with militants, according to Palestinian witnesses.
The Israeli army said it was checking the report.
Witnesses said at least one missile hit an open area, while another hit near an empty home. There was no immediate word on casualties.
Israel has often raided Rafah, a militant stronghold, to arrest gunmen and destroy tunnels on the Egyptian border used to smuggle weapons.
