The Israeli army blew up a Palestinian house near the Jewish settlement of Netzarim in the central Gaza Strip today, causing an explosion that rocked the area, Israeli and Palestinian sources said.
The blast came hours after three Palestinian gunmen trying to penetrate a settlement in the southern part of the coastal strip killed three Israeli soldiers before being shot dead.
Israeli military sources said the army destroyed an abandoned house from which earlier attacks had been launched against soldiers and settlers.
Palestinian security sources said the house that was demolished was in the Palestinian village of Mughraqa.
