A MEMBER of Youth Defence, an organisation which claims its purpose is to "educate Irish people about the evils of abortion", was granted High Court permission yesterday by Mr Justice Geoghegan to challenge a refusal by radio stations to broadcast its advertisement.
Mr Maurice Colgan, Tonlegee Road, Coolock, Dublin, was given leave to seek a judicial review against the Independent Radio and Television Commission and the State.
Mr Frank Mac Gabhann, solicitor, read an affidavit by Mr Cotan in which he said he believed the IRTC made a decision about August 7th last not to allow independent radio stations to broadcast the advertisement.
