Recruitment website Irishjobs.ie says it has recorded a 614 per cent increase in job seekers using its site over the past three years.
The website said it had also doubled the number of companies advertising job vacancies on its site.
Chief executive officer Ms Maria Mahon says this figure will double again within the next two years as Irish companies follow the international trend toward online recruitment advertising.
Three years ago the website hosted around 7,000 jobs searches each day; this figure has now risen to 51,400.

The busiest time for jobseeker visits is lunchtime on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays when 800 jobs searches take place every second between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
