The suspended Irish priest who sabotaged the men's Olympic marathon by leaping on the race leader has appeared in a British court on indecency charges.
Fr Neil Horan (57), also known as Cornelius, will stand trial on October 25th accused of two charges of indecency with a child.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between September 1990 and April 1993. Fr Horan denies the charges.
At the hearing at Woolwich Crown Court, Judge Michael Carroll ordered that Fr Horan, of Howbury Road, Nunhead, south east London, should not leave the south east London postal district before the trial.
He must report to a police station daily between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and may only travel to his solicitor's office in central London by appointment and carrying a letter proving such an arrangement had been made.
Fr Horan was given a one-year suspended sentence by a Greek court after attacking Brazilian Vanderli de Lima in Sunday's marathon. He was also in court last year for running onto the track during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The priest, originally from Kerry, spoke only to confirm his name during the 30-minute court hearing.
