Dublin based eLearning and consultancy firm emergeSmart is to open an office in New York.
The announcement to open a New York office was made last night in conjunction with the New York State/Dublin Chamber of Commerce trade mission to Dublin led by Senator Hillary Clinton.
EmergeSmart already has an office in Boston and hopes that the opening of a second office will help its growth strategy in the US.
In 2001 the company has secured contracts valued at over $1.5 million from US based companies mainly in the pharmaceutical sector.
Ms Áine Mizzoni, chief executive of emergeSmart said " The rate of growth for emergeSmart in the US market last year was remarkable and based on that success and initial indicators for this year, I expect that growth to double this year."
EmergeSmart provides customised organisation development and eLearning solutions that underpin its value proposition of "lead through learning".
Its clients include Microsoft, GlaxoSmithKline and Shell.
