The checks on Boeing 737s used by Irish airlines over the weekend did not disrupt services, a spokesman for Aer Rianta, the airports authority, said yesterday.
The Seattle based aircraft manufacturers advised customers that all 7375 should be checked because of the possibility of a malfunction of the rudder system in extreme conditions.
A spokesman for Aer Lingus said the checks could be made visually and were carried out overnight at TEAM Aer Lingus while the aircraft were not in service.
