One person has been brought to hospital following a fire at a hotel in Dublin on Saturday afternoon.
Luas services were suspended in the area as eight units of the Dublin fire brigade fought the blaze at the Glashaus Hotel on Belgard Square in Tallaght shortly after 4pm.
Three ambulances were also on the scene which was cordoned off by gardaí.
A Garda spokeswoman said one person was taken to Tallaght hospital as a “precautionary measure” adding that there had been no other injuries reported, with everyone believed to have been successfully evacuated from the hotel.
Video footage circulating on social media showed flames and smoke coming from rooms on at least two of the floors towards the top of the hotel.
The 48-bedroom Glashaus, began trading in September 2007 and it forms part of Tallaght Cross Town Centre beside the Square shopping centre and Tallaght hospital.
