Gardai are searching for three youths who stole £270 from a women's club meeting in Terenure, Dublin, last night. The club, which met in a local school at about 8 p.m. was disrupted when three youths broke in. One was holding a screwdriver.
They forced some of the 60 women present to hand over their handbags, which contained £200 and bank cards. They also took a grey steel cash box holding £70. They made off in a car which gardai believe was stolen.
Two women were taken to hospital after the incident, one suffering from a dislocated shoulder, the other suffering from shock. Both were released.
