London - The Royal Brompton Hospital, a top heart surgery unit, stood accused yesterday of having abnormally high death rates among child patients, Luke Holland reports. An investigation has been initiated to look into fatality rates and post-surgery complications at the hospital after an anonymous complaint that success rates at the hospital are unacceptably low.The British Health Secretary, Mr Frank Dobson, has appealed to the public to let the inquiry run its course before coming to any conclusions.
