Medical tests will be done today and tomorrow on Inter Milan's Brazilian striker Ronaldo, but there are no concerns about the long-term dangers of his latest injury.
Ronaldo, who the club said would be out for a maximum of a fortnight, pulled up with a muscle strain during yesterday’s UEFA Cup first-round, second leg match with Brasov of Romania, which Inter won 3-0.
The injury came in the 25-year-old's second brief appearance since returning from an 18-month lay-off with damaged ligaments in his right knee.
Inter said the latest injury was a simple muscle strain and that he would have a scan today as well as a possible magnetic resonance examination tomorrow.
