The Republic of Ireland’s injury list lengthened today after Mark Kennedy flew back to England with a groin strain.
"Mark’s been and gone. He came over this morning hoping to be involved but he’s got a groin strain so isn’t up to it," manager Mick McCarthy said.
"We still have 18 outfield players so I don’t expect to be calling in any cover," he said.
The other four Irish players involved in league games yesterday - David Connolly, Lee Carsley, Richard Dunne and Alan Kelly - are all fine.
