Indian police have launched a manhunt for the headmaster of a private Indian school after he kidnapped six of his young female students, the Press Trust of India reported today.
PTI said headmaster Ravinder Kumar abducted six girls aged between 9 and 10 from his school in Tissa village, in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh yesterday.
The local police chief, Tehsildar Singh, said there was no apparent motive for the abduction.
Police launched a massive manhunt when parents of the six girls went to the Tissa Junior School Saturday and found their children, as well as their headmaster, missing, Singh said. AFP
