Call for lessons in business skills
Entrepreneurial studies should be introduced to the school curriculum, starting at primary level, the Irish Small and Medium Enterprises association (Isme) has said.

This did not equip students with core business skills that would assist them as future entrepreneurs, said Mr Fielding.
Industry upset at chemistry slumpThe numbers of Leaving Certificate students who sat the chemistry exam this year remains "disappointing", say PharmaChemical Ireland, which represents the Irish pharmaceutical and chemicals sector. Slightly more students took higher-level chemistry but "when you take into account the fact that more students sat the Leaving Certificate . . . the numbers remain disappointing," said group director Matt Moran. More students failed both higherand ordinary-level chemistry.
