Court orders Fischer body to be exhumed

REYKJAVIK – The remains of former chess champion Bobby Fischer, who died two years ago in Iceland, will be exhumed to settle a paternity claim, Iceland’s supreme court has ruled. The court said tissue samples were needed to determine the paternity of Jinky Young, the Filipina daughter of Fischer’s former lover. It overturned a ruling by a lower court earlier this year denying the request. – (Reuters)

LONDON – Artist and writer Sebastian Horsley was found dead yesterday from a suspected heroin overdose. Horsley (47) was discovered by his girlfriend at his flat in Soho.

The artist is perhaps best known for being “crucified” without painkillers in the Philippines while being filmed. He has written extensively about his dysfunctional family, addiction to drugs, sex, and his use of prostitutes. – (PA)
