Limerick man shot during car chaseAn 18-year-old Limerick man was shot in the back during a high-speed car chase in the city at the weekend.
The teenager suffered pellet wounds to his back when he was shot at while driving in the Clare Street area at 11.30pm on Saturday.
Gardaí are investigating allegations that he was shot by a gunman who was travelling in a car with a number of others.
The victim continued driving to the St Mary's Park area after he was shot, where he met with gardaí and was taken to hospital.
He was treated at the Mid Western Regional Hospital for pellet wounds to his back but was discharged yesterday.
Three men, one aged 19 and the others aged in their early 20s, were arrested shortly after the shooting in the Ballinacurra area of the city. They were still being detained for questioning last night at Henry Street Garda station.
It's understood the shooting may be linked to an earlier row in which the chief suspect in the shooting was assaulted.
It's believed both incidents are connected to the high-profile Limerick feud which has claimed four lives in as many years.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
