French police have detained six people believed to be responsible for organising the illegal smuggling of immigrants from China into Europe.
The six people have been questioned by an investigating magistrate in Bobigny, north east of Paris. Their identities are not known.
They were detained after police swooped on several locations across the capital's suburbs earlier this week and detained 50 illegal Chinese immigrants.
About 30 of those detained are being questioned. Most of those detained will be expelled from France.
