The Irish Football Association are proceeding as normal with preparations for their Euro 2004 qualifier against Armenia in Yerevan on Saturday week.
But the association will monitor the situation over the coming days should war break out in Iraq.
David Currie, secretary of the international committee, said today: "We are proceeding as normal with the match unless advised otherwise by the Foreign Office and UEFA.
"Obviously there is the prospect of war with Iraq, so we will be closely monitoring the situation."
