VOICES FROM THE FLOOR: I heard about the event through the Shell to Sea discussion

VOICES FROM THE FLOOR:I heard about the event through the Shell to Sea discussion. I helped to organise the last two climate camps in Ireland. I am particularly interested in making links with other activist groups and non-governmental organisations.

I am interested that when everyone in the country is unhappy with the Government, 99.5 per cent of people dont think they can do anything. They feel angry but powerless. But there is something that they can do. For example, they can organise, if their wages are getting cut, for collective bargaining with their employer . . .

This is not just a group of people in a hall. There are different people at each table, people I might not meet from other areas. I am setting up a community garden in Rathmines. There is someone doing the same thing in Phibsboro. So this is a good opportunity to make those links.
