Dr Tony Ryan, chairman of the board of the Hunt Museum, yesterday announced that Mr Ciaran MacGonigal has been appointed director and will take up his position on Friday.
Mr MacGonigal is director of the RHA Gallagher Gallery in Dublin, and a member of the Arts Council and of the National Gallery board.
