The Health Service Executive (HSE) has published details of credit card expenditure by senior members of management in the organisation.
The HSE said it would post the details on a quarterly basis with a view to providing "greater probity and transparency" in the organisation's financial control measures.
Figures published this evening for the first six months of 2009 include details of expenditure by HSE chief executive officer, Prof Brendan Drumm.
The amount charged to HSE corporate credit cards, which are carried by members of the management team as part of performing their duties for the organisation, this year to date was €17,121.
According to the HSE, there are ten credit cards, including a 'Business Travel Unit' credit card, in use by the organisation at present.
