The Health Service Executive (HSE) had received a total of 102 calls to its help line by 5pm today in relation to concerns over homecare services.
The executive opened an information line this morning and established a review of the home care services supplied to 65,000 older people following a series of complaints and a television news report.
In a statement this evening, the HSE said that of the 102 calls, 11 resulted in complaints from clients and their families relating to home care services, adding these are now being dealt with by the HSE.
The remaining 91 calls were general comments and concerns relating to home care services and reaction to footage shown in the RTÉ Prime Time episode last night.
The HSE said any issues arising from these complaints will be resolved as “quickly as possible” with alternative arrangements put in place if necessary.
It said if a member of the public wants to report a concern with a homecare service they should contact the HSE directly on its Information line, 1850-242850.
